The Sony SW55 is one of the Sony receivers that suffer from aging surface mount electrolytic capacitors. Consequently, this results in a loss of audio, loss of signal strength, or both. Another symptom of aged capacitors is a motor-boating sound when the volume is turned up. Other symptoms include difficulty in tuning or even a band shutting down, The capacitor upgrade replaces all the electrolytic capacitors that are prone to fail or dry-up with time.

We Are Update & Upgrade all old Electrolytic Capacitor With  New Tantalum Capacitor To avoid heat and leak problems in the future and prevent the recurrence of past problems also saving the internal Bord from Damage.

The SW55 must be able to come out of CAL and default to the 150 kHz default frequency when batteries have been installed. If the radio stays in the CAL position and shuts off, the SW55 has other issues other than bad capacitors. The Capacitor Upgrade will not remedy this problem.
